Why are public policy issues so complicated?
Among Gen Z, many are politically disengaged and unaware of how policy shapes their everyday lives, or feel intimidated by complex legal and governmental systems. According to the Institute for Citizens & Scholars, 24% of Gen Z feel Politically disengaged, and most were unable to answer factual questions about how our democracy works. This project aims to create a podcast that explores major public policy issues and by it more relatable, understandable, and relevant to young listeners.
